AI features and settings

Within your account settings, enable AI features or add an API key to use on the platform by simply navigating to the gear icon in the top right corner and selecting AI Features.

AI-powered features are available throughout the platform and are listed below.

AI Features that can be enabled

Assessment creation: Create an assessment with AI by simply copying and pasting your job description. Learn more here.
Project grading & report analysis: Enhance your analysis of a candidate's coding challenge submissions using AI-powered reports. Learn more here.
Resume grading: Generate evaluation criteria based on a job's description and evaluate candidate resumes. Learn more here.
Phone screening: Conduct agentic phone screens and evaluate candidate fit. Learn more here.
Video transcription: Generate text transcripts for video responses to make reviewing candidate answers easier and ensure accessibility for all users. Learn more here.
Webcam proctoring: Enable webcam proctoring to further ensure assessment integrity using eye tracking, face detection, and deepfake detection during challenges. Learn more here.

AI Features available by default

Prompt engineering challenges: Coderbyte's library offers challenges for various languages and skills, including prompt engineering. Search for "Prompt" in the search filter when editing an assessment.

ChatGPT in interviews and projects: Use ChatGPT within the IDE of your live interview with a candidate or in take-home projects.

Compliance

For compliance reasons, your organization will need to first opt-into our AI Terms Addendum before enabling individual AI features. For all AI features except agentic phone screens, see these terms. For all AI features including agentic phone screens, see these terms. If you require a mutually signed addendum, contact your account manager.

To comply with labor laws, certain automations related to AI features may not be supported to ensure a human is always involved in hiring decisions.

AI models used for AI features do not retain or train on any inputs whatsoever. You can find data flow diagrams below for each feature:
