[Settings and options](https://help.coderbyte.com/knowledge/assessments?hsLang=en#settings-and-options) # Custom consent requirements ## Customize your consent checkbox to require candidates to agree to terms, policies, or data protection practices before they begin an assessment or interview. **Note:** Custom consent requirements are available to customers on our **Bundle** subscription or have the [Branding & Customization add-on](https://help.coderbyte.com/knowledge/add-ons?hsLang=en). First, **Edit** any assessment, then go to the **Settings,** and select **Show consent message **or **Do not show consent message**. ![](https://help.coderbyte.com/hs-fs/hubfs/steps%20for%20assessments-png.png?width=688&height=373&name=steps%20for%20assessments-png.png) By default, all assessments will show a consent checkbox with the following text: ![](https://help.coderbyte.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Assessment%20checkbox-png.png?width=688&height=392&name=Assessment%20checkbox-png.png) #### Interviews [Interviews](https://help.coderbyte.com/knowledge/interview?hsLang=en) will have the consent checkbox and text hidden by default. To show your consent message go to **Interviews** in the main navigation bar. Then, click on **Default settings & passcode**.
