# Enable file upload responses to free-form questions

## Let candidates work on their own and upload solutions

When creating or selecting [free-form questions](https://help.coderbyte.com/knowledge/how-to-format-custom-questions?hsLang=en), you can select whether you'd like candidates to upload and submit files of up to 10MB each.

Within the assessment, candidates will see the corresponding option.
