# Typing speed test

## Measure a candidate's typing speed and accuracy during an assessment

To add a typing speed test, edit any assessment and navigate to the Free-form section.

In the library, search **Typing** and add it to your assessment.

Every candidate who completes an [assessment](https://help.coderbyte.com/knowledge/creating-your-first-code-screening-assessment?hsLang=en) will have a [report](https://help.coderbyte.com/knowledge/understanding-the-candidate-report-and-plagiarism-issues?hsLang=en) that you can open from that Assessment's dashboard.

The candidate's typing test results will appear under the **Free-form** section of their report, including their words per minute (WPM) and accuracy.
