# Code interview playback

## Replay a candidate's coding session and review activity captured during a live interview

Coderbyte allows you to replay completed coding interviews to review a candidate's code, progress, and activity throughout the session.

#### Accessing interview playback

To review a completed interview:

1. Navigate to **Interviews** and select **Complete.**
2. Click **View report** next to the relevant interview.
3. At the top of the interview report, you'll find two options: 
     1. **View code:** Reopenthe interview's coding environment toreview the candidate's code.
     2. **Watch playback:** Open a replay of the candidate's coding environment ro review their activity throughout the interview.

#### Reviewing events and timestamps

Within the playback, interviewers can review recorded activity throughout the coding session, including tab switching and copying and pasting.

Each event includes a timestamp indicating when the activity occurred during the interview. Interviewers can use these markers to navigate to specific moments in the playback and review candidate activity in more detail.

**Gray bars on the playback timeline indicate periods of inactivity**, helping interviewers identify when no coding activity was recorded.
