How to set a reasonable qualifying score
The default qualifying score for an Assessment is 70%, which means candidates must get a score of 70% or better to technically qualify. You can control the score and make it lower or higher in the Assessment settings:
The qualifying score will not have any impact on candidate notifications. Instead, the qualifying score will be used to power your Assessment analytics and dashboard. Green scores indicate the candidate qualified:
If the qualifying score is set too low, then too many people will qualify and you won't be successfully filtering any candidates out of your pipeline. But if it's too high, you might actually have too many candidates fail the assessment even if they are good engineers.
We recommend setting it between 60%-80%.
