For Assessments, you can enable webcam verification to ensure that (i) candidates are who they say they are and (ii) that the candidate independently worked on their solution.
Note: You can collect up to 200 video responses per month, which includes videos recorded from open-ended questions. Once you hit the limit, webcam verification requirements will be disabled for candidates. You can increase your monthly limit from your Billing page.
Enabling webcam verification
To enable webcam verification, Edit your Assessment, and then Add a challenge from the library. You will see the option to Toggle on webcam verification.
Candidate assessment
For challenges with webcam verification enabled, candidates will see an option to explain their solution after they have submitted their challenge solution.
Upon submitting their challenge, candidates will be presented with a sample of their code and be asked to explain it via webcam recording:
Candidate report
Webcam verification recordings will display within the candidate report. Expand all solutions to see the sample code and corresponding webcam verifications.
By default, candidates will not be flagged for suspicious activity if they skip the webcam verification.
If you do want candidate reports to flag suspicious activity when candidates skip the webcam verification, then you can enable webcam verification required in your Assessment settings. First, Edit the Assessment, then under the section Cheating Detection select Yes to require webcam verification.
Note: Requiring webcam verification is available to customers on our Bundle subscription or within the Advanced customization add-on.
