Terminology
There are a few key differences in the feature set and terms used to describe capabilities.
Pads: Both Coderpad and Coderbyte offer a capability for real-time collaborative coding. In Coderpad it is called a "pad" and in Coderbyte it is called an Interview. The features are very similar and include video/audio, custom databases, templates, multiple tabs for multiple questions, and whiteboarding.
Automated vs. Manual Grading: Both Coderpad and Coderbyte offer the ability for candidates to do coding on their own time and then submit solutions. In Coderpad this is called a "take-home project" and can be automatically graded (using test cases) or manually graded by your engineering team. On Coderbyte, automatically graded assessments are called Assessments and use Coderbyte's cloud IDE. Manually graded assessments are called Take-Home Projects and can be done within the candidate's personal environment and uploaded to Coderbyte afterward.
